UI Foundry Docs

Build, inspect, and refine Unreal UI.

UI Foundry brings animation authoring, runtime behavior, material tools, asset generation, and performance inspection into Unreal’s UI workflow. Start with the task you need to complete; each guide explains the tool’s scope and the next handoff.

Use Animation Studio to edit native widget keyframes and curves, Animation Workbench to compare coverage across the widget hierarchy, and Anim Tools to inspect and repair animation data. Animation state machines organize playback into named states and transitions.

Find and maintain assets in the Material Library and Material Editor tools. Build with UI material nodes and reusable functions, generate distance-field textures with the Distance Field Toolkit, or add CPU particles to UMG and Slate.

Write rich documentation inside graphs, capture and align graph content, and share asset editor layout presets. Shared editor presentation and development tooling covers themes, inspectors, builds, and packaging.

Use the Slate and UMG Widget Profiler to inspect widget CPU phases, invalidations, draw elements, materials, and changes between captures. Its measurements do not attribute GPU time or exact Blueprint execution time to individual widgets.

Seven additions are in development. They are being implemented and validated and are kept separate from the current feature guides.
